Sanaria Hussain is an Iraqi-Canadian Licensed Master Social Worker and Certified Clinical Trauma Professional. She has worked in the mental health and anti-violence field for the past 5 years, helping individuals cultivate a sense of safety, self-compassion, and connection.
Sanaria uses an integrative, nervous system approach to treating trauma, anxiety, depression, and relationship/attachment issues, drawing from modalities including Somatic Experiencing, CBT, DBT, and Internal Family Systems.
Sanaria is experienced and passionate about working with individuals from the BIPOC, LGBTQ+ community, and folks impacted by intergenerational trauma and the cycles of violence and oppression that perpetuate it. Her practice is rooted in understanding these systems and the impact they have on our mental wellbeing.
Sanaria is a resilience-centered clinician who believes that every individual already possesses the internal resources needed to heal and cope with daily life. Her goal is to help clients identify and strengthen these resources.
